Watermelon the New Viagra?

 

When I originally came across this article I got real excited.  Do you know how much money people would save to male enhancement and performance medicine?  As I read the article however, my little bit of happiness was taken from me (I hate catchy misleading article titles, they are not fair).  Anyway, apparently there is an amino acid called citrulline of arginine found in watermelon that helps maintain sexual health and promotes sexual performance.  Now in order to get the full effects of this amino acid you would have to eat 6 or 7 slices of watermelon, or eat the rind (yuck).  But fear not there are other places where you can also find arginine:  wheat germ and flour, buckwheat, granola, oatmeal, nuts (coconut, pecans, cashews, walnuts, almonds, Brazil nuts, hazel nuts, pine nuts, and peanuts), seeds (pumpkin, sesame, sunflower), chick peas, cooked soybeans and chocolate.  There is still hope!
