Sex Tip of The Week: How To Put on a Condom

If you are going to have sex make sure its safe (don't be stupid).  The last thing you want in an STD or an unplanned pregnancy.  So here are instruction on putting a condom on correctly.

  • Open the package carefully and avoid tearing the condom
  •
  • Put on a condom when the penis is erect and before genital contact as sperm can be released prematurely.
  •
  • While squeezing the teat (top) end between thumb and forefinger to expel air, unroll the condom carefully with the hand to its full length over the erect penis.  BE CAREFUL NOT TO SNAG ON FINGERNAILS, RINGS…
  •
  • Have Sex (the fun part)
  •
  • After Ejaculation, withdraw penis slowly and carefully while still erect, holding condom in place at the base of the penis.  Be careful not to spill and ejaculate before condom is well clear of the vagina.
  •
  • Use condom only once.  Use a new condom for each act of lovemaking.  Dispose the used condom carefully (wrapped, put in waste bin).  Do not leave in the open or flush down the drain. (this is just wrong.  They come in packs for a reason.  Don't reuse)
  •
  • Do not use any oil based lubricants like petroleum jelly, baby oil and if any topical medicines are being applied to either the penis or vagina, consult a doctor or pharmacist about their compatibility with condoms.  If additional lubrication is needed use only water based lubricants.
