Gordon Brown’s "Global New Deal"
Here is a article I received from a friend of mine. He asked me to post it on ScrewPopCulture.com, so I did. I'll post just about anything, remember this is Screw Pop Culture.
So you thought that the New World Order was just a crazy conspiracy theory? Well now it’s been publicly alluded to a by world political leader (more than once). This may not of been the first time a political figurehead has mentioned such a thing, but it is the most recent. On March 4, 2009, Prime Minister of the UK, Gordon Brown, addressed a joint session of the US Congress. Towards the end of the speech (~25:50), he said this:
"And I believe that ours too is a time for renewal, for a plan for tackling recession and building for the future. Every continent playing their part in a global new deal, a plan for prosperity that can benefit us all."
That was no slip of the tounge. On January 26, 2009 while delivering a speach about the economic crisis he stated:
"Or we could view the threats and challenges we face today as the difficult birth-pangs of a new global order - and our task now as nothing less than making the transition through a new internationalism to the benefits of an expanding global society - not muddling through as pessimists but making the necessary adjustment to a better future and setting the new rules for this new global order."
I'm going to type away here for a bit. Please bear with me; it will all make sense in the end. I promise.
First off, you are saying, "why do we car what the guy England is saying?" If you listen to his entire speech you can see the country is already traveling down the path he fantasizes about for over 30 minutes! We are letting the government take control of some our largest businesses and attempt to continue control the pace and direction of the economy/markets. Generated outside influences on the economy is what brought us to this stage; it's not going to get us out of it. That is an entirely different story for another day.
These quotes are not being taken out of context. There are links below to the orginal speechs. I'm a bit concerned when I here sound bytes like the ones above. It bothers me when our "leaders" in the federal government do not disagree or stand up and say somthing about it. No one ,except Ron Paul, seemed to address the statements. Instead Congress kept clapping away during his speach. These comments, and several others like it, bring me great concern, especially now. During this fierce economic downturn, people all over the USA and the world are clinging to any signs of hope. The powers that be in Washington D.C. are trying to create a false sense of hope in everyone.
The people in power are manipulating a natural market reaction to "re-instate a financial prosperity and strong economy." They are doing this by exploding the size and cost of government via "Stimulus Packages" and "Bailouts." All of their attempts to create a "light at the end of the tunnel," are back-handed programs to expand their reach seive more control over our daily lives.
If we continue to allow the government to increase its control over more and more aspects of our lives, the arrival of things like the North American Union, devalution of the Dollar, the introduction of the Amero, complete firearms ban, government dication on how to raise your children, etc., will be inevitable. The "Bailouts," have allowed the governent to take ownership of corporations in several industries. This ownership brings the government inches away from nationalizing and being in complete control of the country's financial system, insurance coverage, auto manufacturing and distrobution, possible newspapers, so on and so forth.
Personally, I want the government in control of as little as possible. The federal government simply is to large and cumbersome to be effective at almost anything. They can't correct our education system no matter money they throw at it. Veteran's Healthcare and Medicaid are poorly ran. Social Security is broke. I could go on forever.
For the record and my critics, I don't think the USA should be an isolationist. We should work with the rest ofthe world to correct our global economic situation on some levels. We need to solve many more problems at home before we take on the world. Several of large international financial and government-like bodies (United Nations (UN), International Monetary Fund (IMF), the Bank of International Settlements (BIS), the World Bank Group and the World Trade Organization (WTO), etc. ) are corrupt and have many problems. The world does not need to add another such organization. The world does not need to create an internationally governed monetary system. Again, these organizations are their own essays for another day.
Back home, I hope more people realize nationalizing any business or industry is not in the tax payers benefit. The current and future inflation caused the by the new money created for the "Bailouts" and "Stimulus Plans" by the Federal Reserve and the Treasury Dept. will only cause more economic pain as the value of hte dollar continues to fall.
Here is a greate quote from Glenn Beck on February 24, 2009. This is a closing statement from Glenn Beck after an interview with Ron Paul:
The solutions are going to be presented as gigantic and global and the answer is going to be local. The answer is going to come from you and your local community, and your state, not the globe. That's where a nightmare is coming.
