Congress Breaks with No Resolution on Gas and Energy

I am starting to feel like our government is nothing more than a celebration of our nation’s bureaucratic inadequacies and procrastination.  I find it constantly frustrating that our government on all levels can take a vacation without attending to the business and issues they are appointed to handle.  Last week I wrote about Congress not being able to come up with a solution to deal with high energy cost.  Now Friday, August 1st, Congress starts their five week vacation without having come to anything that would resemble a solution.

When was the last time you were able to leave your job for five weeks without getting a major project done? Or better yet, if it is a top priority to come up with a solution to a problem that is causing the company to almost cease to function and you haven’t come up with one because of differences amongst your co-workers would you still have a job?  I know that some people are out there saying things like you can’t compare the government to a business, or it’s not that simple.  Government should be run like a business.  They’re both corrupt, and misleading.  They both exist to satisfy an agenda.  If the government was ran like an efficient business we wouldn’t have half the financial problems we have now (this statement is up for debate).  The problem is, elected officials get in these cushy positions and then feel like they can take their sweet time making decisions while the hard working Americans are suffering and looking the government to fix their problems.

It is predicted that there won’t be a solution and things won’t get fixed until we vote in November.  You’ve got to be kidding… Pathetic
